Conditions of the competition:
The competition for exhibitions, art projects/lab/workshops/work in progress, etc. Only proposals/concepts that are in detail, conceptually, organizationally and temporally elaborated, completed or in the final phase of preparation can be submitted.
An exhibition/project selected by the committee and included in the annual exhibition program cannot be changed, the author is obliged to perform it at the agreed time according to the pre-agreed conditions. - Application deadline: 16/08/2024 at midnight

Profile of competition participants:
Graduate students of the Department of Graphic Arts, Painting, Sculpture and Teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduate students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, students of the 4th and 5th year of integrated undergraduate and graduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, students of specialist and doctoral studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, winners of the Rector's Award and summa cum laude (automatic entry into the competition), alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts (up to 10 years after graduation), incoming graduate students on international exchange enrolled in the graduate study, graduate students of partner Academies and related faculties, and graduates in and outside Croatia. -
Priority in the exhibition program will be:
- Cooperation projects of art academies (Arts, Drama, Music) in Zagreb, Croatia and abroad: projects within this category will have an advantage over other projects because they strengthen inter-institutional, cultural and international cooperation between the Academy and its partners;
- Projects of constituent parts of the University of Zagreb;
- Projects that, in addition to the exhibition part, put emphasis on the accompanying part of the exhibition program (e.g. workshops, forums, lectures, educational programs, conversations with the artist, etc.).
Graduate exhibitions

- Solo exhibition (up to 3 authors)
- Graduation exhibition
- Group exhibition (more than 3 authors)
- Art project/lab/workshop/ work in
progress and si. - Side program (takes place between 2 openings
exhibition)

Selection of works:
Upon completion of the competition for the application of exhibition projects, the expert committee composed of 5 members - professors of the Academy of Fine Arts and the head of the Šira Gallery selects and draws up the annual program of exhibition activities. The expert committee will not consider applications that are untimely and that do not meet the conditions provided for in this competition. -
Results of the competition:
will be published by September 15, 2024 on the official website of the Academy of Fine Arts and the website of the Šira Gallery, Facebook page and Instagram profile of the Šira Gallery -
Realization of the tender for the exhibition activity program in 2025 (January 2025 - December 2025):
- Acceptance of applications for the competition: until 16/08/2024
- Announcement of the results of the competition: 15/09/2024
- Opening of the 1st exhibition at the Šira Gallery in 2025: during January 2025
- Number of exhibitions/projects/workshops: up to 20
