All deadlines, documents, technical information about enrollment and the entrance exam are published on the enrollment page. The entrance exam for the study of New Media takes place in two parts, for which it is good to prepare in advance.

What kind of students do we need?

Mnoge_i naši_e studenti_ce come from related fields, e.g. cultural studies, anthropology, editing, architecture, dramaturgy, dance, music, design / it is not necessary to have previous official art education to enroll in the study, but it is necessary to have your own artistic practice – in any medium.

The study of New Media is especially interesting for those who express themselves or engage in various activities such as music (classical, electronic, indie), writing, comics, dance, theater, photography or spoken word, are active in the community through volunteering or activism, and have an active interest in theory.

It is important to us that candidates are ready to motivate themselves, develop themselves, expand the boundaries of their thinking.

Who can apply?

  • The right to apply for the competition for enrolment in the graduate study programme and the right to access the classification procedure are granted to pristupnici_e koji_e završili_e or who have a maximum of 30 ECTS credits left until the completion of the undergraduate study.
  • the right to apply for the competition for the graduate study of New Media; the following courses: Animated Film, New Media and the right of access to the classification procedure have pristupnici_e koji_e have položili_e all the prescribed exams at the university undergraduate study in accordance with the regulations that were in force before the entry into force of the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Official Gazette No. 123/03), and they only have a diploma exam left and have to submit a certificate of this dužan_na.

Who can enroll?

What does the entrance exam look like?

A folder of works should be prepared, which may include: films, video and film works, sound works, documentation of installations, performances, performances, happenings, artists' books, texts, photographs, etc. (presentation of media works on USB).

Candidates should write a letter of motivation in which they will describe the key points in their work so far and the projection of their own work in the graduate study (and possible theoretical supports).

The second part of the exam - interview and presentation of the map

An integral part of the entrance exam is an interview with candidates in which kandidati_tkinje present works from their folder, explain their actions, processes, motivations and inspirations.

How to prepare?

It is important for all kandidate_tkinje to show a real interest in new media, to regularly watch films, visit exhibitions, go to concerts, plays, follow events in their city, read.

What to do after studying?

Many of our former students are active on the art scene, they are winners of many prestigious awards, they continue their education through the WHW Academy program, among the finalists are the Radoslav Putar Award, they are residents of the Schloss Solitude Academy, Summer Sessions V_2, they participate in the 25fps festival, the Youth Salon...

The interdisciplinary nature of our program enables students to professionally engage in artistic practice, and in addition to many related professions (many are engaged in photography, filming, editing, exhibition setup, scenography, costume design, organization, graphic or fashion design, cultural management, institutional and non-institutional education).
