Department of New Media
The beginnings of the Department date back to 1998 in lecture room number 33 in Jabukovac and the Department of Media Arts – Ivan Ladislav Galeta's class within the Department of Education. In 2004, OZAFIN – Department of Animated Film and New Media was founded, within which joint study programs were carried out until 2024. With the separation of the two departments in 2024, the Department of New Media was created, whose new study program will begin in the fall of 2025.
Precisely because of the youth of our department, and in accordance with the belief that no artistic activity or discipline is static or can take place closed within itself, the curriculum is in a continuous process of creation, improvement and upgrade.
The Department of New Media is unique in that it encourages an individual authorial approach, creativity, research and innovation from the first year of study. Teaching is based on process work, mentoring support, critical thinking, experimentation and understanding of new media as an open field of contemporary art practices.

Each year has its own class for work, and there are numerous specialized spaces available to students: photo lab, digital lab, studios for recording, sound and image, a print room and a study room for working in dirty materials, editing for image and sound, a studio for social practice with a library and a project room.
The Department is staffed by seven teachers in artistic-teaching titles and one person in an artistic associate title.
