Curriculum

The first year is a combination of blocks and regular weekly courses in various forms (art book, hybrid film, film essay, performance, creative writing). Each semester culminates in an exhibition and presentation when studenti_ce prepare, organize and set up the exhibition and attend a critical evaluation of the work.

Main course: Media Practice (11 ECTS) - The course consists of a practical and a theoretical part. The practical part includes work on one's own project, group criticism, exhibition. Discursive-theoretical classes consist of writing, reading and thematic blocks and encourage creative and experimental approaches based on research work in practice and theory. In the first semester, the topics are set, the second semester are topics aligned with the interests of students and their research.

In the first semester, students gradually develop their practice in dialogue with other subjects. In the second semester, students.ce develop the concept of authorial work according to their own interests.

In the second year , studenti_ce embark on the realization of a graduate thesis, which they develop with a mentor. With the graduate thesis, we encourage creative and experimental methods of research and development of one's own topic and voice.

The thesis consists of a complex and complete artistic work and a textual part and can be performed in any medium, technique, form or discipline. The written part of the thesis is a creative and processual document that is in dialogue with the practical part of the thesis.

Basic and advanced workshops in media techniques are organized according to the needs of the studenata_ica (lighting, blue screen, sound recording, video and film recording). Workshops are offered at the department, if students need additional education in areas outside the department, students are directed to an adequate institution.
