All deadlines, documents, technical information about enrollment and the entrance exam are published on the enrollment page. Classification procedure for enrollment in the graduate study of Fine Arts; major: Teaching takes place in two parts, for which it is good to prepare in advance.
Persons who have completed the university undergraduate study of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb or an equivalent study from another academy in Croatia (Academy of Arts of the University of Split - Fine Arts and Fine Arts; Academy of Applied Arts of the University of Rijeka - Art Pedagogy; Academy of Arts and Culture of the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek - Visual Arts).
The placement exam consists of:
- review of documentation, including a letter of motivation (in writing, submitted with the basic documentation and CV)
- review of the folder of artworks (portfolio) with an explanation in digital form (PDF, maximum 30 pages), with a PPT presentation of all three main art subjects (maximum duration 10 minutes, recommended number of slides 25) and interviews, as well as the evaluation of the previous study. Candidates from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb will have their artworks presented at the final exhibition taken into account.
What kind of students are we looking for?
The University Graduate Study of Visual Arts is intended for students who want to develop their own artistic practice, research work and acquire pedagogical-psychological-didactic-methodological competencies in the field of contemporary art and visual culture. We are looking for people interested in interdisciplinary work, critical thinking about art and active participation in cultural and social processes.
Openness to experimentation, collaboration and research of new artistic and educational approaches is important to us, as well as an interest in connecting art, education, technology and community. The study is intended for motivated students who want to work in the contemporary cultural and educational space and develop their own professional and artistic interests.

What to do after studying?
Upon completion of the university graduate study of Fine Arts, students acquire the professional title of Master of Education in Fine Arts and competencies for work in the field of education, art and culture. Graduates are trained to work in the primary and secondary education system, as well as to work in galleries, museums, cultural institutions, art organizations and projects of contemporary art pedagogy.
The study provides the foundations for the development of one's own artistic and research practice, participation in interdisciplinary projects and the continuation of professional and academic development through specialist and postgraduate programs.
