Creative Europe project CREARCH - CReative European ARCHives as innovative cultural hubs (September 2018 - February 2021)
The idea of CREARCH is to familiarize as many people as possible with archives and the significance of the material they keep, i.e. to increase the number and expand the structure of the archival audience (users and visitors to the archives). To achieve this, archives need to develop new ways of communicating the history, characters, places and local traditions told in their documents and bring them closer to citizens, especially those who are less accessible to them.

Virtual exhibition of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts
The platform within the CREARCH project is dedicated to the development of new audiences and the creative interpretation of archival sources. Archives are a unique and irreplaceable resource for shaping memory, understanding the past and documenting the present for the future. Archives store billions of records, and each of them preserves stories about people, events, places and the world around us.
