Privacy Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation (EU, 2016/679) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette, 42/2018) regulate the protection of personal data of each individual.
The University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts (OIB: 95847257607), Ilica 85, 10000 Zagreb, as the personal data controller, regulates the management of structured sets of personal data, the principles of personal data processing, the conditions of consent, the processing of special categories of personal data, the provision of information and access to personal data, rectification and deletion, the right to object and automated individual decision-making, the obligations of the controller regardingthe security of processing, technical and integrated data protection, the appointment of a personal data protection officer, etc.
Collection, processing and storage of personal data
Personal data is processed on the basis of a legal obligation, the performance of tasks in the public interest, the consent of a person or other legitimate basis. For each data collected from visitors and users, all reasonable technical and organizational security measures are taken with the aim of protecting against unauthorized or unlawful processing, loss, destruction or damage to data. Access to, use and maintenance of personal data is supervised, and securitymeasures are continuously improved in accordance with technological development.
User rights
At any time, each person has the right to request access to their personal data from the personal data controller. In addition to requesting access, the person has the right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing and portability of personal data and the right to object to the processing itself. These rights are exercised by submitting a request to the e-mail address of the Personal Data Protection Officer at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Data Protection Officer
The lawfulness of the processing of personal data and the exercise of the right to personal data protection shall be accounted for by the Personal Data Protection Officer. In addition to the above duties, the officer shall inform all persons employed in the processing of personal data attacks with the necessity of applying personal data protection regulations in cases of planning and actions that may have an impact on privacy issues and personal data protection.

Use of cookies
The website alu.unizg.hr uses cookies to monitor the functioning of the site and visit statistics. We do not require you to send information to provide you with access to our site and we do not ask you to disclose more information than is actually necessary. When you visit our websites, our web server stores the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visited us, the websites you viewed during your visit and the date and time of your visit. Our cookies do not contain specific personal information, so your privacy remains protected, as it is not personal data, i.e. we do not use the data collected in thisway to identify you.
The IP address is transmitted to the server with each request sent so that the server knows where the response must be sent. The Internet Service Provider (ISP) assigns an IP address when connecting to the Internet. As long as the stored IP address is not deleted, the identity of the end user can theoretically be obtained through the ISP. For this reason, the Controller does not store the IP addresses of the visitor, but only uses them for the purpose of recognizing the session and defending against abuse and network attacks. The IP address is deleted immediately afterwards, so that the collected data remains anonymous and the identity of the end user cannot be found out through the ISP.
GDPR consent
By filling out application forms, contact questionnaires or application forms for events, projects and workshops with which I initiate communication, I expressly give my consent for the University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts (OIB: 95847257607), Ilica 85, 10000 Zagreb, as the Controller, to process my personal data for the purpose of responding to inquiries, providing information related to study programs, exhibitions, competitions and other academic and artistic events. I declare that I expressly authorize the Academy of Fine Arts to contact me via e-mail, phone or mail for the above purpose.
I am aware that I have the right to withdraw my consent at any time. I can withdraw my consent at any time via e-mail sent to the address: szop@alu.unizg.hr, which must contain a statement on the withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data, without special explanations.
This consent is valid until my withdrawal and I agree that the Academy of Fine Arts processes my above-mentioned personal data for the purposes described until I notify them otherwise by withdrawing my consent.
I understand that I have the right to access personal data, limit processing, and rectify and delete personal data.
