Photography

From the first imperfect attempts to capture a trace of light on a material to various experiments, photography has been defined throughout history through multiple roles and uses. Defining itself mostly through three aspects – in relation to reality, artistic creation and its technical tasks, it has developed in a wide range, from the effort to be an "objective" and "permanent image of the moment" to the exploration of its own artistic language. The development of photography has also initiated new reflections in the aesthetic and sociological field

In the ALU library, you can find books on photography that cover its various aspects: technical manuals, essays by domestic and foreign authors, exhibition catalogues, author's monographs, reviews of the history of photography, books on specific types or aspects of photography, etc.
