What to expect from the entrance exam?
All deadlines, documents, technical information about enrollment and the entrance exam are published on the enrollment page. The entrance exam for the university undergraduate study of Fine Arts takes place in three parts, for which it is good to prepare in advance.
Part 1 of the entrance exam - Map
Applicants for enrolment in the university undergraduate study of Visual Arts are required to enclose a folder of homework with the application, which must include:
- curriculum vitae,
- Letter of motivation - free form (1-2 cards)
- a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 works of art in color and drawing up to a format of 100x70 cm (portrait, figure, nude, spatial composition, free works, works of imagination).
The map (total number of works 20 – 40) must contain:
- Portrait drawing 5-10 pcs.
- drawing of a nude or figure 5-10 pcs.
- spatial composition (e.g. still life, interior, exterior,...)
- 5-10 pcs. format and technique of your choice
In addition to the above mandatory parts, the folder may optionally contain:
- Free Works and Works by Imagination - Format and Technique of Choice
Part 2 of the entrance exam - Written and oral part of the exam in art history
- The written and oral part of the exam in Art History is an elimination element. Candidates who do not pass the written part of the exam cannot take the oral part of the exam. The threshold for the written part of the exam is 50 points, the oral part of the exam is 50 points, and the maximum number of points from the written and oral part of the exam in Art History is 350.
- The third part of the examination procedure (practical part) can only be accessed by applicants who have passed the second part of the procedure.
Part 3 of the entrance exam - practical examination of special knowledge, skills and abilities
In the practical part of the examination of special knowledge, skills and abilities, the committee evaluates the following components:
(A) Drawing.
- First day: drawing a head, drawing a nude on a live model
- second day: drawing a head, drawing a nude on a live model
- Third day: drawing spatial composition
The maximum number of points for the practical part of the verification procedure is 350. Applicants are required to bring an ID card, a drawing board, paper (from 70x50cm to 100x70cm) and drawing utensils (charcoal, pencil, etc.).

The University Undergraduate Study of Visual Arts is intended for students who show interest in art, visual culture, creative expression and working with people. We are looking for people who want to develop their own artistic practice, but also understand the wider social, cultural and educational significance of art.
Openness to experimentation, research and interdisciplinary work is important to us, as well as readiness for cooperation, exchange of ideas and active participation in teaching and projects. The study encourages the development of critical thinking, sensitivity to social and cultural issues, and interest in contemporary artistic and pedagogical practices.
We especially appreciate motivated, curious and responsible students who want to connect art, education and the community and contribute to the contemporary cultural and social space with their own work. The study is intended for everyone who understands art as a space of creativity, communication, research and social engagement.

What to do after studying?
Upon completion of the university undergraduate study of Fine Arts, students acquire basic artistic and theoretical knowledge that enables them to continue their education at the university study of Fine Arts and further professional guidance in the field of art, education and visual culture.
The study develops competencies applicable in various areas of the cultural and creative sector, including participation in artistic and educational projects, work in cultural institutions, organization of workshops, community programs and contemporary forms of art pedagogy. During the study, students develop artistic expression, critical thinking, a research approach and the ability to work interdisciplinary, which represents an important basis for further professional development.
Upon completion of the undergraduate study, students acquire the competencies to continue their specialization in the graduate study and to be active in the contemporary cultural and educational space.
