izv. prof. art. Ivan Slipčević

Ivan Slipčević is a cinematographer and media artist born in 1979, graduated in 2004 from the Academy of Dramatic Art, Department of Film and TV Cinematography (a total of ten semesters). In 2000, he became an active member of the Multimedia Institute and started an informal sound and image design studio Zvukbrod. Since then, he has been the leader of a number of workshops on the topic of music and video production. Since 2004, he has been involved in film, video, sound, performance and video design. electronic performances, he is the director of photography on many experimental and installation films, and the co-author of the project Sound Songs. Since 2019, he has been the head of the art organization Klubvizija, which operates in the field of analogue and photochemical film, organization of the film program and workshops on the topic of 16mm film.

Ivan Slipčević's artistic work in film practice is experimental and documentary, questioning the medium of film, digital and analogue, light and the texture of light recording. He explores the possibilities of cinematography and photographic practice and the visual medium as an artistic language. His works often involve collective collaborations, research, and questioning the language of film.
