News of events in the period August 2024

       · Our library is in the editing phase, so we are still focused on databases and other electronic resources. I ask students to use the materials available to them on the Library's website in the section Book collection / Only for students of the Academy of Fine Arts. When you open the Literature link, you can enter the content with your username: student and password.

The collection will continue to be updated, and if you have a suggestion on what else should be included in it, you can send it via the new link on the page: pitajte-knjiznicara@alu.unizg.hr

Through this link, you can also send other questions or requests or ask for any help from the library manager.

 

  • Electronic sources

Trial access to Taylor & Francis editions is open, which lasts until May 15 this year. The collection has a fairly diverse selection in the fields of art, urban studies and humanities, and now everything is available in full text, so I recommend you take a look.

You can join the database via the NSK website, where you will also find instructions. If you are accessing from the Academy's computer, the entrance is automatically opened via your IP address, and if you are accessing from your computer, go to the proxy link and then enter via AAI@edu identity.

Trial access to the Kanopy database has been opened. The collection contains films of various genres, classics and new films, as well as a lot of animated films. I especially recommend it to students and teachers of OZAFIN, but I believe that it will be interesting to everyone who loves film:

The section has received a redesign, additions and explanations that should help students in the preparation and submission of final and graduate theses. The digital form of the final thesis can now be submitted via the link: zavrsni-radovi@alu.unizg.hr (So, they no longer need to be burned to CDs or USBs)

In the same section, there is a document Assistance in the preparation of final and graduate theses , in which basic explanations of terms (what are keywords, what are summary, introduction, etc.), then examples of what the cover can look like, how to cite literature, etc., and a description of some spelling rules in which mistakes are most often made, as well as examples for easier navigation.

I ask mentors to refer their students to this page.
