Library Newsletter 09/2026

News of events in the period September-October 2026

New library

The library is currently located in the basement, in a smaller space than it used to have, which was originally intended for a canteen. From the attached photos you can see what it looks like at the moment. There is no furniture yet, and we also had an urgent professional visit from the NSK due to inadequate accommodation and we are waiting for an official written report. You will be informed about further events related to the library.

Virtual Exhibition: Image and Text

On the website, you can see a new virtual exhibition that presents the diverse relationships between image and text in art.

New books

The good news is that there is finally some money for the library, so there will be new books. For now, I present to you:

Collage, Assemblage and the Found Object, Diane Waldman (Author)

A richly illustrated edition by Phaidon and one of the few books dealing with assemblage and found objects.

Repository - Final and Doctoral Theses

All submitted final theses of this year are stored in the repository. I also contacted the authors of doctoral theses that we did not have in digital form, and we currently have 42 stored doctoral theses (https://repozitorij.alu.unizg.hr/search?ge=dissertation&sort=published_sort&order=desc), and some are still pending. The storage of graduate theses is in progress. There are currently 1723 objects in the repository.
