Vesna Rohaček Salamon

She was born in 1985. Year in Zagreb. In 2010, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb, Department of Education, Department of Graphics. She then continued her training for one semester at the Jan Matejko Academy in Krakow, three years of post-master studies at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, and in June 2022 she completed her master's program in glass and ceramics at the Konstfack Academy of Arts in Stockholm, where she obtained the academic title of Master of Fine Arts in Glass. She has participated in more than forty exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, and In recent years, she has been particularly researching the medium of glass, in which she has made a number of notable exhibitions. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Croatian Society of Fine Arts artists, and since 2022 she has been an artistic associate and holder of the Course Art and Glass Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.

The topics of my works are social and cultural sciences. I question the social, economic and political context of society in installations that are often interdisciplinary. From performance methods, I combine traditional techniques such as modeling in clay and melting glass, and modern methods of 3D printing with various other experiments.

The aim of this course is to motivate students to keep the medium of glass omnipresent in our environment with their talent and their own design skills, and to achieve the activities with which they can With traditional and contemporary skills, they can realize their goals and tasks in the artistic field. The course explores different techniques and performance possibilities in the medium of glass.
