She graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1989. In 1998, she enrolled in postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where she received her master's degree in 2000 with the thesis Conservation and Restoration of Wall Paintings from the 18th Century in the Apse of the Franciscan Monastery Church of the Holy Trinity in Slavonski Brod under the mentorship of Prof. W. Zalewski (title of the awarded qualification: Master of Arts – Conservator/Restorer of Paintings). Since 1991, she has been working at the Conservation Institute of Croatia as an external associate, and from 1994 to 1998 as a full-time employee. Since its establishment in 1998, she has been working on the integrated undergraduate and graduate study of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts, since 2020 as a full professor. She has developed and implemented a curriculum, teaches courses and is a mentor of graduate theses in the field of conservation and restoration of wall paintings. She encouraged the establishment and participated in the organization of the International Student Conference of Conservation and Restoration Students. She participates in numerous international conferences, workshops and gatherings. She organizes and leads conservation and restoration projects and research on wall paintings from different historical periods. For the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, she works as a mentor to candidates and a member of the committee for the professional exam in conservation and restoration activities, in the field of wall painting. In 2016, she acquired the professional title of conservator-restorer consultant, and works in consulting work in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Media. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Committee for the Renovation of the Archbishop's Palace in Zagreb and the Commission for Monitoring Complex Conservation and Restoration Works on Wall Paintings of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. She has exhibited and participated in several national and international professional conferences and workshops, organized several workshops related to wall paintings intended for experts and the public, and is the author of articles related to conservation and restoration research and works. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists, the Croatian Conservation Society and the IIC – Croatian Group. She is the recipient of the Radovan Ivančević Charter of the Society of Art Historians in 2012 for the project Multidisciplinary Research of the Brezovice Castle Complex and the University of Zagreb Ars Summa Universitatis Award for 2024.

In her teaching work, she deals with the field of conservation-restoration of wall paintings. Courses include the history and techniques of wall painting, technological characteristics of wall paintings, and methods and materials of conservation-restoration of wall paintings. As part of field teaching and practice, she takes students to objects of wall painting in situ. She also leads an elective course dedicated to the transfer of wall paintings.
