He finished elementary and high school in Zagreb. From 1983 to 1987 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, graduating in the class of Prof. Ante Kuduz. From 1987 to 1990 he studied at the Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna in a master class for artistic writing and book design with Prof. Elfriede Goldschmid, Prof. Tomas Hansen and Prof. Walter Lürzer. In 2006, she enrolled in the postgraduate specialist study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, under the mentorship of Prof. Lucijan Bratuš, Prof. Stana Bernik and Prof. Jožef Muhović, and in 2016 she completed her studies and obtained the academic degree of Master of Arts. In 1990 he worked in Frankfurt in the advertising agency "Lowe-Lürzer". From 1990 to 1994 he worked as a graphic editor at "Glas koncila". In 1991 he began teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb as an assistant to Prof. Zdravko Tišljar. Since 1995 he has been permanently employed at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he teaches the courses Typeface, Typography, Applied Graphics and Computer Design, since 2006/07 he has been teaching the course Computer Design at the postgraduate study of the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1995 to 2004 he taught at the School of Design, University of Zagreb, from the school year 2007 to 2009 he taught at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, in 2009 he taught Typography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. In 2013 he received the Grand Prix of the 6. Croatian Triennial of Watercolors. 2008 at the II. International Scientific Conference in Zadar, he received the first prize for scientific work. He was the Head of the Department of Graphic Arts, the Head of the Department of Graphic Arts, the Carnet Coordinator, the Commissioner for E-learning, a member of the Council of the University of Zagreb, the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ulupuh, the President of the Supervisory Board of the Croatian Association of Artists. So far, he has exhibited at 35 solo and numerous group exhibitions in the country and abroad. He has designed about fifteen computer fonts for various purposes. He has organized and held numerous workshops and public demonstrations of calligraphy and handwriting. He has organized several guest appearances and workshops of foreign calligraphers, designers and font designers at the Academy of Fine Arts. As part of the scientific project "Language and Art Standards in Initial Writing and Reading in the Croatian Language", he creates standard scripts and associated fonts for teaching in elementary schools and sets the basics of typographic and design standards for Croatian textbooks. In this regard, he publishes professional and scientific papers, and in 2014 he published the book Initial Writing in Croatian - Methodical Manual in collaboration with Prof. Ante Bežen.

At the very beginning, I realized that working in art improves me in every way, professional, intellectual and generally human. That seemed to me to be a sufficient reason to continue and I have not stopped to this day. As narrower areas of my artistic interest, I can mention painting, calligraphy and font design, but my restless character wanders in various directions, so I have also tried sculpture, medals, objects and many other art disciplines.

I became a teacher shortly after graduation and immediately fell in love with the calling. Once, I read on a poster next to a photo of a father and a little son: "He will do a job that does not yet exist." Our students will also create art that does not yet exist. I deeply believe that it is not up to us to lead them on our own path, but to pass on the knowledge and experience we have gathered and help them form their path.
