Marko Meštrović

He was born in Stuttgart in 1972. He graduated from the Department of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He has had several group and solo exhibitions. He has been working in film and animation since 2000. He has screened his films at some of the world's most important film festivals, and has won numerous national and international awards and recognitions. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as an external associate at the Academy of Arts in Split. He gave lectures on Experimental Animation at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka (2017/18, 2021/22), and since 2023 he has been collaborating with the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb on the course Classical Animation. He held master classes at George Melies Animation School, Paris, France (2012), Animatou International Animation Film Festival, Geneva, Switzerland (2013), International Love Film Festival, Mons, Belgium (2014), Mecal International Festival of Short Films and Animation, Barcelona, Spain (2016). He has had several group and five solo exhibitions: Kula Gallery, Zagreb, "Triptych" 1995, Karas Gallery, Zagreb, "Open Circle" 2000, Greta, Zagreb, "x0o", 2018, Waldinger Gallery, Osijek "Trip/Levitation" 2018, KIC, Zagreb, "8" 2019.

In her work, she studies both classical animation techniques and recent techniques of generating digital content in image and sound and communicates their subtle meanings through films, exercises and lectures.
