Research interests
Through his works, Kutleša questions the ethical dilemmas brought about by the development of contemporary science. His works therefore belong to the field I call extreme, excessive, radical and extravagant visual art practices at the intersection of science, technology and the body. These are innovative experimental projects that challenge the senses and social norms with their theme and form, and result in a strong affective, emotional and cognitive effect. The basic orientation of such works is life, human and non-human, which today is an area of radical changes in biology, philosophy and art. In the case of Kutleša, this refers to human beings and other biological entities such as plants and animals. Posed as open situations, the author's projects sharply open up some of the key questions of modernity: food resources, the commodification of animals, the relations between human and non-human species and the future of their intertwining.
