She was born and lives in Zagreb. She graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb in 2018, obtaining a master's degree in sculpture. Prior to that, in 2015, she completed an integrated undergraduate and graduate study of conservation and restoration of works of art at the same academy and obtained the title of Master of Art Conservation and Restoration. She completed her secondary education at the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, where she graduated in 2008 as a sculptural designer. During her professional career, Ana Horvat Mrazek has worked in the field of sculpture, conservation and restoration. Since 2023, she has been working as an external associate at the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb, where she teaches courses related to the conservation and restoration of stone and architectural plastics, sculpture, and restoration practice. She also gained extensive experience in conservation and restoration by working in the private sector, where she participated in stone and architectural plastic restoration projects in cities such as Zagreb, Opatija and Klanjec.

Her research interest is focused on the field of conservation and restoration of works of art, with an emphasis on innovative methods of protection and preservation of stone and architectural plastics. In particular, she explores new methods and approaches for the conservation and preservation of cultural heritage. By combining classical restoration methods and modern technological solutions, her work contributes to the development of more efficient and sustainable conservation methods. Through experimental research, she focuses on the compatibility of new materials with historical backgrounds, with the aim of long-term preservation of artistic and cultural heritage. She actively participates in exchange of knowledge through educational programs and professional workshops, contributing to the improvement of the conservation profession and the protection of cultural heritage.
