He was born in 1970 in Travnik. He graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1997. He is the author of several public sculptures, and the winner of several professional awards and awards at public competitions for sculptures in public space. He has exhibited at about fifty solo and about two hundred group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. From 1998 to 2007 he was a member of the Croatian Association of Freelance Artists. Since 2007 he has been teaching sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He is the president of the Art Organization Atelier Žitnjak.

My reflection on sculpture is within the spatial, tactile and material, all the way to the dematerialization of sculpture. Regardless of the materials, genres and methods I use, from the classical sculptural form (relief and three-dimensional sculpture), through video projections that I exhibit as independent works, to interactive objects with electronic components, I remain faithful to questioning the medium of sculpture, transience and sculptural processuality in the sense of the disintegration of matter itself or a deliberate change of state in a certain period of time. My artistic fascination is precisely the processuality in artistic work, whether it is the disintegration of sculptural matter and changes in its state that take place in a given period of time, or letting the material "do" what is inherent to it, or imitating the process in a kind of laboratory conditions. In my work, I often "change the fate" of geometric shapes that lose their original properties, planes, right angles, strength and rigidity through intervention, and turn them into almost organic objects, thus giving them new meanings and associations. In this way, my themes not only communicate the process of creating the work, but are a statement or comment on completely different dimensions of life, from completely intimate to extremely universal.

The field of teaching encompasses a wide range of possibilities of applying sculptural thinking to contextualize contemporary visual and social topics. In doing so, students are referred to sculptural techniques from the traditional ones to those that are not characterized as sculptural in the usual perception of the media, but complete the possible understanding of the media.
