PEER SUPPORT – university elective course

Are you interested in a course that offers a great combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you can apply in practice for the same semester?

Enroll in one of the models of the university elective course "Peer Support for Students with Disabilities"!

Model A includes a preparatory workshop that takes place over two weekends at the beginning of the semester (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and the provision of peer support to a student with disabilities during the semester and carries 5 ECTS credits. For model A, you need to know the student with disabilities from your faculty and to agree that you will be a "couple", that is, that you will provide peer support to him or her.

If you have already attended the preparatory workshop through model A or C, there is model B – providing peer support – for 3 ECTS credits. For model B, too, it is necessary to have a "couple", i.e. a student with a disability from your faculty to whom you will provide support.

Do you just want to listen to the theory, but you don't have time to actively support a student with disabilities this semester, or do you just want to learn something about people and students with disabilities? Enroll in model C for 2 ECTS credits, after which you can enroll in model B at any time during another semester!

Another interesting fact – in models A and B there are no exams or grades, but you come to the agreed supervisions during the semester.

The course is taught every semester and can be enrolled by all students of the University of Zagreb!
