Links on the edge: circles
First meeting: November 16, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Location: Department of New Media
For the first meeting, we read Bojana Kunst's book The Life of Art: Transverse Lines of Care.
Join us for reading circles (book club), film screenings and joint reflection on the concepts of care! Meetings will be held once every two weeks.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether they are students.
For the first meeting, it is necessary to read the book. To participate, as well as in case of difficulties with finding literature, contact katerinaduda@gmail.com. You can also register at the same address if you want to receive notifications (newsletter) about plans for upcoming meetings.
About the project
Relationships on the Edge is conceived as an artistic exploration that starts from rethinking the concepts of care. We explore marginal practices that encroach on the areas of activism, therapy and self-organization and can be connected to other fields of social sciences and humanities, architecture and pedagogy.
How do we think about these practices within art — whether it's social practices, sound media, or experimental publishing? What can we learn from them? How can artistic methods contribute, develop, and build on existing connections?
The Connections on the Edge project is implemented by Hrvoslava Brkušić and Katerina Duda.
The circles are held as part of the research project Q'ART Community Art: Artistic Practices in Social and Natural Processes of the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb. The project is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021 – 2026.
