We will talk to young promising artists - Lora Elezović, Mia Matijević Akrap and Zdenka Mikša about their experiences and coping with the world of art after graduation. This will be an extremely valuable opportunity to face the challenges after graduation and get valuable guidelines on how to successfully continue building an artistic career. Therefore, we invite you to join us at the Šira Gallery for this educational program.
ABOUT THE LECTURERS
Mia Marijević Akrap is a talented artist born in 1995 in Požega. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2020, and can boast of five solo exhibitions and numerous participation in group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She has also participated in three residency programs in France, Germany and Lithuania and an Erasmus+ internship in Germany.
Mia, together with other artists, will share her experiences of coping after graduation and continuing to work in art. She will reveal how they coped with the challenges along the way and give useful guidance for young artists who have just stepped into the art world.
Zdenko Mikša, born in 1995 in Zagreb, who, after graduating from the School of Applied Arts and Design, enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where in 2018 he enrolled in the Graduate Study of Fine Arts, majoring in Graphics. His artistic work includes illustration, caricatures, comics and writing, and he also actively participates as an animator and educator of children's workshops.
He has exhibited his works at numerous exhibitions and workshops in Croatia and abroad.
On this occasion, Zdenko will share with us his experiences in the world of art after graduation, as well as tips for successfully navigating the art world.
Lora Elezović was born in 1995 in Toronto, Canada. In 2014, she graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb and enrolled in the undergraduate university study of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In 2017, she enrolled in the graduate university study of Fine Arts, majoring in teaching in the class of Professor Igor Čabraja and co-mentor Professor Ines Krasić, with the main art subject Graphics and Applied Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In 2020, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Arts, and obtained the title of Master of Art Education.
She has exhibited in five solo exhibitions and about 50 group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She has been actively leading art workshops since 2017. She has been a member of the Croatian Association of Artists since 2020. In 2021, she became an ambassador for Austrian Cretacolor art supplies, Uni-ball, Fabriano, Magnani and Wacom. She is the winner of the Iva Vraneković – Vladimir Dodig Trokut Award: Artists to Artists" at the 36. Youth Salon, 2022.
