At first, we were interested in the textures, colors, and shapes of fabrics. (He scratches his forehead. He puts his hand on his lap.) Fabrics are impressive to people. What we put on every day, take it off, then put it back on, says something about us. (He feels the hem of the dress he wears with his fingertips.) But not only that, the textures are all around us – what we lean on, what we cover ourselves with. Fabrics are intimate.

They are intimate with bodies. (Nods his head.) This has directed us towards concrete relationships, although we cannot call what we are talking about concrete. For us, it is simply a cloud. (He smiles.)

When two people sit next to each other, they sit in a cloud. We're not talking about emotion or mood. (He squirms in place. He focuses his eyes on the distance.) We're talking about a soft, swaying cloud of steady, uninterrupted... (Swell his mouth.) Forces, if you really like.

It is difficult to name this cloud of our interest. (He elbows his hand and rests his chin on the palm of his hand.) It may be a force, but it is not violent or violent. It is simply present and readable. The way people react, the way their words and movements bounce off each other, the way they take on an impulse – these are symptoms of this cloud of force. (He tilts his head. He smiles.)

This soft cloud has color, texture and shape. (With his palms in the air, he outlines what the cloud should be.) It is not completely unchanging, but it is always constant. Tenderness forms a cotton and soft, pink cloud. Affection forms a much stiffer cloud of force of greenish color. There are tiny differences and departures that interest us. (He straightens up. He intertwines his fingers.)

What is closeness, closeness? What is presence like? Infatuation? Support? Relaxation?

The questions we ask ourselves reveal to us what is between the bodies. In fact... (Place your hands on the thighs of your open palms.) We are talking about what is slightly changeable between the bodies.

Antonija Bačić

Visual artist born in 1989 in Zagreb, where she graduated in Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts. Antonija also completed her undergraduate studies in Advertising of Market Communications at Agora, and currently works as a graphic designer and participates in the organization of the international graffiti festival "Graffiti na Gradele". She has participated in a number of group exhibitions and is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists.

Valerija Cerovec

Visual artist and writer born in 1993 in Čakovec. She completed her undergraduate studies in Fashion Design at the Faculty of Textile Technology and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and graduated from the Department of Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts. She is the winner of the "Franjo Marković" Award of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has participated in a number of group exhibitions and one solo entitled "September 23rd, the Day When Nothing Particularly Happened". She is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists.
