Tumulus exhibition at the Archaeological Museum in Zadar

On October 16, 2026, at 7 p.m., the Tumulus exhibition, created as part of the project Space, Landscape and Territory: Creating Space, Decolonization of Public Space and Zones of Marginality, will open at the Archaeological Museum in Zadar.

 

The exhibition presents photographic documentation of the research and restoration of the burial mound – tumulus on Pirište on Velebit, realized on June 2, 2026, and drawings by students created at the location itself.

Students of the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology of the University of Zadar and the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as alumni and alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Università degli Studi di Torino, participated in the renovation. The project was realized in cooperation with the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology of the University of Zadar and the Archaeological Museum in Zadar.

Tumulus Exhibition at the Archaeological Museum in Zadar

October 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM marks the opening of the exhibition Tumulus at the Archaeological Museum in Zadar, presented as part of the project Space, Landscape, and Territory: The Production of Space, Decolonization of Public Space, and Zones of Marginality.

The exhibition features photographic documentation of the research and restoration of a burial mound—a tumulus—at Pirište on Velebit, carried out on June 2, 2026, alongside drawings produced on site by students.

The restoration brought together students from the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology at the University of Zadar and the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Turin. The project was realized in collaboration with the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology at the University of Zadar and the Archaeological Museum in Zadar.
