ABOUT THE LECTURE

The selection of art/creative solutions in business brings with it great challenges and raises many questions for artists who are at the beginning of their careers.

At the lecture on the topic of business in the creative industries, we will discuss:

  • About models of presenting artists to potential clients
  • on the possibilities of applying for tenders
  • How to Present Yourself and Your Work
  • on the possibilities of gaining professional experience
  • on the importance of engagement and volunteer work during education
  • o the importance of adapting personal preferences and one's own artistic handwriting to the client's needs

ABOUT THE LECTURER

Nikolina Žabčić graduated from the graduate study of the Department of Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb in 2022. In addition to her primary focus in education, since 2016 she has been working as a freelancer in the field of illustration, animation, graphic design of books and picture books for children and young people, painting murals and leading workshops with children with disabilities. During her study days, she received several awards; 5 Rector's Awards for large artistic multidisciplinary projects, an award for the winning visual solution for the World Literature Festival and two international awards of the ASIFA organization for the best student animated film "Ma! Love is a color".
