Venientes – exhibition as part of the 38th Youth Salon

Invitation to the opening of the exhibition Venientes, which presents the works of award-winning students of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb as part of the 38th Youth Salon. The opening is on September 11, 2026 at 7 pm in Gallery 112.

It is our pleasure to invite you to the opening of the Venientes exhibition, the third exhibition held as part of this year's 38th Youth Salon and presenting the artworks of award-winning students of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb.

Venientes is a program designed by the late Professor and Dean, red. prof. art. Slavomir Drinković, and traditionally presents the works of graduates and a cross-section of works by the best students of all departments of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, awarded by the Council of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb for their excellence during their studies.

This year's edition of the Venientes exhibition at Gallery 112 brings together the works of four artists: Antonela Beli, Ivona Stambolija, Kristina Novosel and Kristijan Popović. The curator of the exhibition is Korana Littvay.

Through the selection of authors awarded for excellence during their studies, Venientes provides insight into different artistic practices and interests that are developing within the six departments of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.

In the past fifteen years, the exhibition has been hosted in various exhibition spaces, including the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, the Marisall Gallery, the Šira Gallery and the Croatian Association of Artists (HDLU) as part of the Youth Salon, and more than three hundred exhibitors have participated in the exhibition to date.

This year's edition continues this tradition of presenting the most successful young authors of the Academy, bringing to the Gallery 112 works by artists who, through their research, different media and authorial approaches, represent the current moment of the youngest generation of the art scene.
